Change search.cgi Method from GET to POST
Links v3.0.4

Is there a simple and safe way to change search.cgi to use the POST method instead of the GET method so that the form parameters do not show up in the subsequent URL?

Just change the search template to use the post method.

As Adrian said, you change the method="get" to method="post" in the include_header.html and search.html templates.
