A mySQL backup, or a full site backup?
For mysql, try:
Code:
mysqldump --add-drop-table -uUSERNAME -pPASSWORD DB_NAME > backup.sql
If you wanna do a full site backup, you can do:
Code:
cd /path/to/cgi-bin
tar -cvvf backup_cgi.tar *
(if you hold stull like me in a www folder and cgi-bin folder, be sure to back them both up

)
