I would like to see if it is possible to use any version of Links on the Google Apps Servers for free hosting?

I don't think so - they don't even offer MySQL from what I can see :P

There are tons of hosts about - starting from just a few $$ a month - if you can afford to buy GLinks, surely you can afford a few $$$'s a month for a little bit of paid hosting?
