Is it a violation of licensing agreement to use my dev install as a demo area for plugins I have written?

Currently my dev install is in protected directory via htaccess, so it is not accessible to public.
I would like to use the dev install as a demo area so I do not have to use my live install for demos.

The test installation/path was added so that you could test changes on a local copy before pushing them out onto your live site, but also be able to keep your local copy updated. For your instance, you should contact Jack directly about the licensing issue.
