[ NEW PLUGIN ] DailyStats

Hi,

I'm pleased to announce our latest plugin :)

Details:

This plugin lets you create some cool graphs, showing activity on your site. The graphs are made in Flash (SWF) , so are quick loading too.
You can show 4 sections of statistics:

1) User signups
2) Link "clicks"
3) Link ratings
4) Link reviews

You can also show the statistics in a table, to make it easier to read.

You have a problem with the css on your demo page. The text is jumbled all over the screen.

Thanks for the heads up - I'll get that fixed. Its fine in FF, but IE is all weird. Probably a missing close tag somewhere Pirate

All fixed =)

Instead of a closing </h2> tag, it had <h2/> ... so all the page was being treated as a <h2> - thus the huge font =)

Thankfully, that was a lot easier than a missing closing tag <G>

I had a request to add a few more stats into this plugin. These include:

Current months user signups
Current months links rated
Current months links reviewed
Current months links clicked

When I click on Readme got this error

Hi,

Sure will :) (a feature I'm quite proud of, as it was quite hard to accomplish =))

You just set a couple of plugin options up (with the path to your community 'defs' folder), and it will work then, and add a new field to GComm (manually I'm afraid, and make one little change to signup_form.html :))

Hi,

Ah, ok =)

Just get Date::Calc installed.

If you have root SSH access, you can do it yourself with:

perl -MCPAN -e 'install Date::Calc'

(not sure if you have root access though, so your host will most likely need to do it for you)

It's done. Working fine.

Now, question, what rewrite rule should I use if I want to use stats on url like this www.domain.com/stats/ ?

Regarding rewrite rules, something like this should work:

stats/7days/?$ /cgi-bin/links/page.cgi?p=stats [L] 
stats/month/?$ /cgi-bin/links/page.cgi?p=stats_month [L] 
stats/year/?$ /cgi-bin/links/page.cgi?p=stats_year [L]

You obviously would need to change the links in stats_*.html templates too :)

Hi,

I've been made aware of a problem, where the prof_Signup_Date field is showing up on the profile page (which isn't needed, cos they shouldn't edit this field :P)

To fix this problem - please upload this file (SSI.pm), into your /secure_data/lib/Community/Web/ folder.

This will stop the field showing on your user's profile pages.

Personally, I'd prefer if GT would fix the problem whereas fields defined as HIDDEN, still show up on profile pages Wink

Another thing, why do I see on 7 days stats, stats from the day before (yesterday) as last day and not current day.

This is for my graph stats not tables.

Example: Today I see graph for 25-3, 26-3, 27-3, 28-3, 29-3, 30-3, 31-3 and not 1-4.

Now on graphs I see date for 06.04. and 07.04. (for tommorow).
