Why do I have the option to edit my threads/posts in some forums but not others?

Yeah, I'm not that keen on the edit timeout feature. Good idea, but just not very practicle for us guys
. Is it going to be an option in the script?

Actually, it's an import error in the import script from WWWThreads -> Gossamer Forum - it doesn't seem to be importing the property that lets users edit their posts. Also, as several people have pointed out, the edit timeout on the Gossamer Forum forums are incorrect - they are timing out after 60 seconds instead of 60 minutes.

I don't know if that is completely accurate...the problem is that the less "serious" forums like this one allow you to edit your posts whenever, but the product support forums contain NO edit option.
I believe that Alex was accurate that the edit option is forum based.

As I mentioned, this was an import error. I've updated all forums to allow edits and deletes for 60 minutes (And I've also fixed the bug that only allowed for 60 seconds instead of 60 minutes).

Thanks....I think we posted those posts before you responded to the other thread. Sorry.
