i installed the demo
it ran ok
and now i modified the default.cfg file but the thing is still the same as the demo
what else do i need to change?

Did you make the necessary changes in your html.pl file?

A great way to get started setting up your forms and display would be to use JPDeni's configurator. It will supply you with your .cfg file settings and also your html_record_form and html_record sub coding.
