locations guide script - Can I use DBMAN ?
I need to setup a address listing of tourist places around the world.

So there will be country lists on the main page and if someone clicks on USA then all the places under USA would be listed.

The information would contain, the name, address, hyperlink, comments

I have installed the DBMAN but this does not support categories as well as there is no frontend display pages ( the viewers have to come and log and specify what they are searching).

I can use links or DBMAN for this?

If you're making a list of websites -- that is, every listing has a hyperlink -- it probably would be better to use Links. You can set up all sorts of categories and subcategories within Links.

Thanks

But with Links, I am forced to enter a Hyperlink, while in my application some places may not have hyperlinks at all. Moreover I need to display 4 to five rows of data as follow

Name of Place:
Address :
City:
Country
Comments :
Hyperlink : ( if available)
Email of Contact : ( if available)

The links just allows one line of comment after the hyperlink.

DO you think I can modify the links easily and how, if I may ask.

Thanks for your reply.

You might ask in the Links forum about customizing Links. I don't know that much about the script.

If you require subcategories, I think you're going to have to go to Links. Otherwise, DBMan will be able to handle what you want.
