Can anyone help me with the photo upload mod? The photo mod is for the user friendly html file, unfortunately I'm using the user friendly html with short/long list and categories mod. What I would like to do is the following: user goes to website and sees a list of categories and subcategories. User selects a sub category and receives a list of ALL items that appear in that category (as a short list - basically, photo, item, description). Then when they select the item they are given the long view which is more detailed and includes the photo as well.

What I am working on is basically a classifieds list for a group of people (state wide). Nothing real big and it will be free, its more for trading and sharing stuff. Anyways, the photo will be of the item they have put up. Unfortunately, I think with all the mods I may have screwed up something. ANY help would be greatly appreciated. Is there someone out there running dbman for a classifieds type site??

The image upload works fine with the user friendly, short/long mod. What problems are you having?

Your examples seem to work very well. The problems I began to have after installing the picture upload mod were; unable to delete or modify, pictures were not displaying or not found. etc. More problems than I've ever had. One thing lately also is that when go to modify a record, the checkboxes that I use are all blank (although one or more were previously added and appear in view mode, yet in modify mode they seem to result to nothing). I will continue to play with it to see if it works out.

If you added new fields to your .cfg file for this mod, then you have to adjust your current .db file accordingly.

Also make sure that in your .cfg for the field definitons taht they are numbered consecutively. If not, that would cause problems when you modify records.

If you still have problems, make a .txt copy of your .cfg, html.pl and db.cgi files and provide the urls to where they can be viewed.

Also state whether you are using the single or multiple upload mod and whether you are requiring a photo to be uploaded with each record.
