I have tried to search for this but i can't find anything.

I would like to restrict the records certain users can view.
Some users should be able to only see records 1 and 2 while another group of users can see 1, 3 and 4. Others should be able to see all of them.

Is there a way to do this without making a seperate html.pl file for each user or group of users?

I thought of maybe having a field with a number in, and the number corresponds to the group that can view it, but i would need to have more than one field if there was more than one group that needed to view that record.

You can accomplish what you want to do by adding an extra permission level for a certain group.
