ok, i set up the demo with no trouble, and it worked, but when i went in to customize it for me, (like set up my own) it didn't work. It said that the db.cgi was having an error, (all i did was edit the fields) i followed all the directions at JPDeni, but it didn't work. Do u know what might have happened?

Not without more info. It sounds like you made a syntax error in the config file. Please attach it to a post.

Before you do though look through it yourself and compare your changes against the original and look for misplaced ", ' and ;

what error msg do you get?

in your default.cfg set $db_debug = 1; this may provide you with an error msg

If all you changed was the %db_def = ( section, then check it closely. Maybe post it here.

ok, i reuploaded everything, and it let me login and stuff. but when i go to add a record everything is messed up.. It has all of the stuff from the demo and some things say stuff like

error building select field: no select fields specified in config for field 'Category'!

in it. I edited the default file with what i want in it, but it's not showing up when i go to edit!! PLEASE HELP

unless you tell us exactly what the error said, then, no, we will not be able to help you...

o.. i got it fixed! i'm not sure what the problem was.. but i re downloaded the demo and just did the configuration from there and it worked..
