I'm trying to move from DBMan to SQL but have to do a "quick fix" to our DBMan application before I can start the longer redevelopment process.
What I would like to do in the interim is have a default.cfg and default.db that holds the client info, then
the main menu page would be a list of options that point to the dbman database and several other static html pages as well as html forms they can submit information via email on.
The main reason to do this is to have 1 login to get to their specific client information (each client on our maintenance plan has their own database)
While I've found bits and pieces of what I need to do on the forum and the unofficial FAQ, I'm confused.
Can someone outline what I need to do? I assume I need 2 DB's and 2 cfgs with 2 password files.
the default one - to log in the client, that then gives them a menu with THEIR SPECIFIC data files and locations. Also, can I call static html pages with forms? I just need the submits to come via email and not be maintained in a database for now. And there are several forms so the coding to update DBMan would be extensive and would take 4 or 5 different databases.
I'm trying to make this as simple as possible so that I can move on to redesigning the whole thing in the SQL version!
Thanks!
