We are developing a multi language database a book..
We are done creating the text files (8 langauges so far)

The text files look like..

[1.1] Im Namen Allahs, des Gnädigen, des Barmherzigen.
[1.2] Aller Preis gehört Allah, dem Herrn der Welten,
[1.3] Dem Gnädigen, dem Barmherzigen,
[1.4] Dem Meister des Gerichtstages.
(each one has 8000 lines)

We are looking for a way to create an SQL database for the translations to be stored in so it will become:
- Searchable (PER LANGUAGE) (users select the language to search.
- Easy to dispalyin dynamic mode with spanning pages per language.

I hope that was clear .
Plugging it is with Links SQL will be even better.

Any one is welling to do this?

Interesting question. No I cannot do it however thre is something I have noted. I think our friend from needscripts.com was essentially looking for something similar.

Maybe there is a hack or mod or a revamped linkssql needing to be done/made using language files. A very big job I am sure.

You could problably do this with Data_Import.

Setup up a copy of LinksSQL, install Data_Import, and then import the data from your books (set a default category). Should be that simple. Feel free to ask any questions you may have :)
