Wii and the Internet

For those of you unaware, wii is using Opera browser and does not load any Java. I was a bit disturbed at the Java outage but am trying to redesign using Ajax or Perl to offset the Java issue. If you had, no idea wii could connect to web pages - grab 500points and look at your developments on your wii.

When you say "Java" do you mean Javascript? (2 totally different languages <G>)

Ops it does not like Javascript - guess they are following the Mac mantra :(

I wanted to play some yahoo games but nooooooo won't use Javascript, then I visited my sites to the horror Shocked

back to old school development - to get the same stuff we get using Javascript -- OR -- we can scream at wii??????

LMFAO!!! Maybe I'll have to ask for one for Christmas :P

To be honest - I'm not much of a games consol kinda person (starting at a screen working for 12-14 hours a day tends to be enough for me - all I wanna do is go out and have a beer at the local, and play some pool <G>)

I have a PS3 and a Wii. The PS3 wins hands down. I can't warm to the Wii....it just seems like its for kids. Ours lies unused for months at a time.

Love my PS3 and my wii - now grab some friends 4 is always a good number have some SHOTS a few beers and get the wii out. Addicted is not a good word for what takes place. When I first got the wii and played just about non-stop for 3 days I could not lift my right arm, apparently I never used those arm muscles before. Laugh

Beer and wii are the perfect mix, do your daily health on the sport pack and laugh your butt off at the scores you get daily.

Playing wii combined with beer and all the games bring out the child in you and the competition with friends.

Love my wii !!!!!

If you got the sports pack - they have a Daily Health on the bottom right hand side of the main menu - play that daily you can be 20 wii years old in no time. Then play with some mates over drinking and you will be 70 years old in no time. ha ha ha ha

Forgot to add Andy, they have this awesome game called Baggs Toss its only 500 wii points I think, talk about addictive - oh my gosh

You take a sand filled bag and try to toss it in a whole, we play this game in real life at the pubs.. Go figure they made it for the wii.

ONLY PROBLEM

You can not stop thinking about it and play all night long until you almost sober back up!

LOL! It came with Wii Play, Mario Cart, Tiger Woods, Wii Sport, and PES Soccer :D I love the golf game <G>

I hope they finish the transition and make it worldwide playable so we can play each other in the games.

I have: Tiger Woods, Wii Sports, Winter sports, Playground, Monster Trucks 4x4
This is now year two with my wii and we are now starting to download from the box w00t

That Bags game is so much fun, we normally play at a pub but its outside. Its winter here so its nice to play at home with like minded addicted friends.

It refuses to stop getting better, glad I can write some of it off my taxes now that I can work on it Whistle

I must get back to work on my wii Wink

Can you use wireless on the Wii? I'm guessing yes?

I wanna get the Wii Fit thing - but at about $300US over here, its a bit steep, considering how much I've just paid for the basic unit =) Shocked

Mine is on wireless follow the instructions to hook up took only a moment to figure it all out.

As a web designer this is an additional work tool, you should get to write off at least a quarter of it :)

I was looking into the wii fitness also way to expensive, I play the wii health daily and it will wear you down.
Playing wii daily keeps me toned. Ya that's it! Sly
