I believe Macromedia Flash is a totally seperate program. Although they both produce the same kind of output (i.e something that can be read by people's browsers) ... they work in totally different ways.
Flash 4 (what are they up to now?) works more on a timeline.
Swish, on the other hand... works on a "functions" (i.e scroll this text here, for xx number of frames ... with this text effect). Although it seems you can still do complicated stuff with Swish .... its nowhere near as good as Macromedia... but hey... you get what you pay for =)
