Firefox 3 - what do you think?

Hi,

Just wondering what people think of the new version of FF (version 3) ?

I downloaded and installed it yesterday, and havn't had any major problems - and the new features it comes with, and pretty swish too :) (one of the most prominant ones, if when you select some content on a page, and try "dragging" it into a new window (i just tested it on Frontpage) - it does it from program to prograh , saving you having to right click + copy and paste (hehe yeah, I know - I'm lazy!)

Anyway, just wanted to see what other people thought of it Smile

haha - I'm sad, I just can't stay away from my computer - even on a Sunday :P (that how :D)

Yeah, its pretty cool - was amazed at how quick it installed too (about 4 seconds, after pressing the final "Install" button). Could be something to do with the speed of my computer though - not sure <G>

Mmm.. one thing I've noticed with the new version of FF - is it doesn't seem to like the Google Toolbar "Spell check" feature :/

It works fine to start with - but once you have finished making the changes - and click "Stop" - it just keeps all the form fields blue (i.e won't let you stop it)

Anyone else having this problem?

Crap - The FBI just flagged the forum for my use of the term "Bomb" Tongue

I am lovin the new version -- live google page rank plugin doesn't work any longer, not to worry they have many more.

I never use the spell checker - I always sepell correctly.

I don't tend to use it - but just a nice tool when I find trouble spelling some words that I don't user very much =)

Password glitches - if you use the same login and password on more than one application it gets confused. I now have to go in and change some passwords.

Andy I still sepell correctly! ha ha ha ha Wink

Ah, not had that problem yet - hope I don't, as I have about 200 different logins, of which about 50 are my own Tongue

My spellings always bad with long words - and even worse after a couple of beers (you sometimes notice my crap spelling later in the evenings, when I'm replying to posts ;))

For me my bad spelling depends on what type of Beer I am drinking.

During the consumption of a dark Lager -- grammar gets me!

During the consumption of an Ice Beer -- ha ha ha forget it - I will retype all that over again in the morning, and sorry if I called you at 2 am drunk!

During the consumption of sweet fruity beers -- can still use spell checker and possibly word to correct my grammar.

During the consumption of Budweiser and the wii or swimming - well screw the puter its time to play!

LOL - I only drink normal types of beer - some 4% some 5% - the 5% ones are the ones that get me - as 2 or 3 of them, and my spelling goes down the drain ;) (same with lots of people I guess)

I go from typing about 30-45 words a minute, to more like 5 or 10 words a minute (with rubbish spelling Wink

)

Just tested FF 3 and the "Spell Checker" on my brothers computer (using Windows XP), and works fine - must be a Vista problem :( I've got all the fixes, so not sure if its just an issue that hasn't been sorted yet - bit of a bummer Frown
