(*actual results based upon a user achieving a minimum of 1000 posts to qualify as 'Veteran')

Thinking about things a little deeper... and possibly splitting the thread....

The Gossamer 'Community' (coming to a screen near you soon!..) is modeled upon (the 'citizens' are ordered by) total posts, another well documented method of society organization is the 'karma method'...

I was thinking... I've been popping in here 3/4 times a week for the last couple of years or so... but due to the immense size, and maturity, of forum_post; 95%(ish) of my queries have been answered by careful searching....

We all encourage our users to search/browse before they post, yet we don't reward those that actually bother, being a good citizen, to make the effort thus reducing noise...

Has anyone (had a go at?) || (is it worth?) factoring in the 'lurk' factor?

Indeed... community 0.9.* could be the most logical way to patch everything together. It is the way we are going... but... on a 'need to keep site live' basis, I'm going to hang back for a 1.1.<4 release...
