I had 1,500 emails sent to me once...each with a rotating title, and text. All of them had a virus attached to them, making them over 200kb per email...which sucked (specially downloading all of them on a 56k dial up modem Frown

)

You didn't download them all?

OMG, I would have downloaded 2 or 3 then..

a) If I had root access:

rm -f `find /path/to/mailbox -name 'something_bad'`

b) If it was a managed server, email the host :)

Edit: Btw I know that "find" command isn't particularly realistic due to the way the files are named by qmail.

Yeah. For some reason my server kept being picked for hack attacks. Not quite sure why though. I een employed some security experts to install the latest patches, fix up any security holes.... but the hackers still managed to exploit my server Frown

I kept then getting turned off my RackShack....so I lost losts of online time, money, etc, so it wasn't worth my while. The main reason I had the dedicated server was because of doing DMOZ dumps...so I didn't really have to give up that much when moving from a dedicated to managed.

I think what you mean to say (judging by the number of SQL crashes you experienced) was that you trashed your own server but didn't realise and thought it was hackers Wink

That's two servers you've trashed now so it seems to much of a coincidence Wink
