Are there any plans (or perhaps patches, configuration tips) to enable Gzipping of Tar archives? The function is named 'compress' yet Tar only archives and doesn't compress! Much software is distributed in Gzipped Tarballs, so it's somewhat perplexing that this functionality has been omitted. Re the error - its not that helpful. I would suggest checking your error logs for the server. I tried Fileman and liked it. Can it be used as a multiuser cloud system? Im looking for a small file server / cloud system. Since I need several users all cloud hosting turns out too expensive. Can FileMan upload and give permisions on folders to just certain people that have accounts? Some can access a file or folder and some cant? Not looking for bulltproof, just practical solution. Also, Im guessing the multiuser has an admin account that can manage and see everything? I have some .mov H264 files that I would like to view via my ipad. I can browse to them, but instead of them being viewed as raw content, they do not open, nothing actually launches. If I access them outside of fileman, i.e directly via http://xxx/movie.mov they play. Presumably this is to do with the content type and the attachment setting in the download.
