Our Background
Our offices are situated in beautiful downtown Vancouver.
Gossamer Threads, Inc. calls Vancouver, British Columbia its home. Our primary focus is the development of web applications for tasks such as directory management, database management, web based email, community applications and more. Founded back in 1995 by Alex Krohn, Gossamer Threads has since grown to 22 employees and counting.

One of the most frequently asked questions we receive is how we came about our company name. "Gossamer" is the silk woven by spiders, alluding to the fact that we are very much a web-based company. The word "Threads" follows naturally not only because it is an old Internet-related word, but because it also evokes images of creation.

Our Non-Profit Contributions
Gossamer Threads Inc. provides free and discounted product licences to non-profit organizations. Hundreds of non-profit organizations have downloaded and currently use our applications or are hosted by us; including the Nobel Peace Prize winning International Campaign To Ban Landmines, the World Association Of People With Disabilities, Forests.org, Reaching Out Foundation (Cystic Fibrosis) and AIDSnet.ch.
