Job Posting: Linux System Administrator
We are looking for someone with a love of Linux and server hardware to help manage our datacenters. You must have a solid foundation in Linux and use it on a day to day basis. Attention to detail, strong problem solving skills, and an independent and creative work ethic are essential.
Experience in one or more of the following areas would be an asset:
- Gentoo portage system
- Cluster and High Availability technologies (DRBD, Heartbeat, Linux-HA, etc)
- Experience with kernel development
- Cisco networking
- Server monitoring and Management (SNMP, RRD, Mon, etc)
- Perl
- Server virtualization
- Hardware debugging (memtest86, mprime, smartctl, etc)
- 64 bit systems
With over 700 servers in Vancouver and London, there are lots of opportunities to work with a wide variety of technologies in this challenging position.
Being on call is required. This is a full-time onsite position.
