The Gossamer Threads Annual Chrisma-Kwanz-ukkah Secular Social Gathering
It’s that season again! Let this mark the first holiday season for our beloved Gossamer Blog <3 During this special time, we at Gossamer Threads like to practice the oldest and most noblest of traditions: The White Elephant (aka The Theiving Secret Santa.)
Join us, as I walk you through the epic night of our staff dinner party!
The Gossamer Armada Arrives
On a cold Friday evening, we ventured out from our office to the lovely experience that is Moxie’s – a relaxed, casual dining locale oozing with charm and bursting with the potential for good times.*
*Actual “ooze” and “burst” amounts may vary from person to person
Jack reminds us of the debauchery of last year’s party – “Let’s keep it clean folks, I’m talking to you Adrian,” he says.
The Gossamer team is a chatty bunch. In fact, Aki himself could barely be hushed long enough to take these spectacular pictures of us in action.
Tarrin demands the drink menu. Michael and Jack think that if they ignore her, she’ll go away.
Phil tries to explain how he managed to order the girliest drink on the menu
Here’s me – cackling like a hyena.
So the rules of our gift exchange were simply: Only a maximum of $10 and No gift certificates allowed. Given the rules, you can tell that the gift selection would be splendiferous…
Bao is ecstatic over his bag of chocolate covered prunes!
Glen arguably gets the coolest gift in the free world.
Chakri gets a USB Vaccuum cleaner.
Aaron gets a McDonalds Monopoly piece! Suhweeeet!
By this time, it was our beloved photographer’s turn to pick out a gift. He picked out the PBF Comics Hardcover book and loved it so much he placed the camera in his bag, and started reading it like a little boy reading a Where’s Waldo book.
This is why there are no more pictures.
If you must know, the rest of us received gifts of all sorts:
- A coffee mug
- A porcelain cow
- A Transformer figure – Bumblebee to “bee” exact heh heh…
- A Sponge Bob football
- a USB SnowBot
- and more riveting gifts!
Hopefully your holidays have been as enjoyable as ours, and we would like to thank all of those who’ve supported us this year.
We extend our best wishes and may the new year bring you health, happiness and prosperity!
