The office is looking a little empty this Monday morning – undoubtedly many are still recovering from yesterday’s Sun Run. Like good Vancouverites we participated in this 10K mass event. We’ve been part of the Sun Run for 7 years now, this time with a team of 12.
Working downtown in a city as vibrant and multicultural as Vancouver comes with plenty of perks, not the least of which is the sheer number and variety of great restaurants near the Gossamer Threads office. The habit of commuting by bike is on the rise here in Gossamer Threads’ home city of Vancouver. The mayor, Gregor Roberts, has done some pretty amazing things in 2010 around the city for the safety and comfort of bike riders (including the mayor himself). The biggest of these has been the installation of two segregated bike routes on two of the main arteries that pour into the central nervous system that is Downtown Vancouver. With all of this new accessibility, cycling is much more popular in Vancouver than ever before and there are a lot of folks at GT jumping on the bandwagon!
On May 9, 13 members of the Gossamer Threads office participated in a longstanding Vancouver tradition that’s become a big part of office life here at GT: The Vancouver Sun Run!
