We’ve been working with WordPress for years, from adding tagging functionality before it became a standard WP feature, to optimizing it for clients, to powering this very blog. It’s a great platform to develop for, and we’re always looking for new ways to customize it, giving new WordPress functionality to our clients and the WP community at large. Optimize Magento With GTspeed

We’ve been working with e-commerce platform Magento for a while now, and have found it to be a great fit for clients looking for an all-in-one e-commerce solution. However, the stock open source Magento is quite slow, and needs both good hosting and a number of plugins to really get it to where an ecommerce platform needs to be.

We’ve published a few speed guides as part of our work with our GTmetrix project, but for Magento, we went a step further and created a Magento plugin called GTspeed.

Folioplanet and Gossamer Links

Folioplanet gives artists the opportunity to share portfolios of their work quickly and easily. Like many sites built around user accounts, Folioplanet offers its users a variety of account-specific options and upgrades, and wanted to add a coupon system to their site, which was developed around Gossamer Links.

Customizing Gossamer Links: Nothing but Blue Sky

Blue Sky Footage offers its users a virtual warehouse of a huge variety of high quality stock video footage: over 16 terabytes of it, to be precise. With that in mind, Blue Sky’s business model needs to be able to store and deliver large amounts of content swiftly and securely. We were able to heavily customize their site to streamline and simplify its operations.

GT Tag Cloud and WordPress 2.3

Currently, it seems as though our beloved GT Tag Cloud is not supported by WordPress 2.3, and so if you’re looking to update to the latest version; be aware that your tags will be inoperable. GT Tag Cloud functions all the way up to version 2.2.3.
