Hopefully your holiday season was as memorable as ours. GT recently celebrated another successful year of code and coffee with its annual Christmas party and white elephant gift exchange….

Our stomachs were filled with great food, not to mention the benefits that come about when Jack and Alex spring for an open bar. Gifts ranged from the practical (bike repair kit) to the deadly (Nerf gun with laser-sight). I personally think that the best gift came in the form of the cache of free hug coupons graciously donated by yours truly.

The big winner this year, however, was Bruce, who won the company’s best dressed award. Donning traditional Scottish garb, Mr. Lord sashayed on in dressed to kill, and won the hearts (and votes) of the majority of Gossamer Threadians. His prize? An OLPC XO-1 laptop, which he’s sworn to install Xfce on once he’s mastered the cantankerous touchpad.

It’s been a big year of changes and expansion for GT, and we’re looking forward to a 2009 filled with fresh challenges and opportunities in our new location. Thanks for your continued support of Gossamer Threads, and all the best to you and yours in the New Year!
