Tarrin AuthorPoker Time

What better way to christen our new conference room than by gathering everyone for a big poker game after hours?

With new employees Thorsten and Brian vying for the official ‘New Guy’ luck (A disproportionate number of past games are won by first-timers to our game), and a rare appearance by Alex, the night promised to be an exciting one.

All In
…and ALL IN’s!

Tarrin was ejected early when the fickle hand of fate decided to complete Brian’s higher flush on the river.

The Perfect Straight

Robbed!

With the three of us all-in, Brian won a considerable pot. Now if only he could sustain his leviathan lead…

As the evening wore on, the battle became intense and emotionally distressing, as demonstrated by Ian’s range of tortured facial expressions:

Jack’s slow-play style seemed to be serving him well at this juncture, as he here attempts to glean information from Alex (chip leader at this point in the game), using his patented Stare of Death. Michael looks on; his chip pile characteristically low, while Thorsten’s knowing smile appears to indicate that he knows Jack is bluffing.

Bullshit alert
Thorsten’s not buying it

Alex emerged victorious in the end (He bought back in from that fateful earlier hand), for the second time running!

Overall, a riveting game – and more data to be entered into Adrian statistical analysis of the past three years of games!
